Honey," symbolizing sweetness and tenderness, is a term many men use superficially to label women, especially if they are young and attractive. Based on this reflection, my next art exhibition observes certain social contexts in Japan where the portrayal of women is degraded and commodified for the consumption of men, often in support of commercial and criminal interests which have highly dangerous repercussions for both women and society as a whole.

"Honey" is an exhibition by Carlo Gori curated by Azusan. It will take place at the Boom Boom Cafe (中央区西心斎橋2-17-10-2F, Osaka, Japan) from February 4th to 10th. On Sunday, February 4th, there will also be a DJ set starting at 3 PM followed by my live painting session at 5 PM.
